Icarus was only a child when the Order found him alone in the streets of Jakara. Raised as a higher class child of the Ordinem, he can hardly remember who he was before their code- only catching a glimpse of himself in the judgmental eyes of those around him, and the words of the shadows that hang around his shoulders.
But when a fire-weilding girl from the outskirts appears in the city on ceremony day, knowing the secrets the boy holds and refusing to be frightened by them, Icarus is forced to confront the possibility that everything he has come to believe is a lie.
Struggling to find the truth, Icarus catches word that the Ordinem has made plans to use a prisoner of Trellis in a battle he no longer understands. And when a choice he makes in the chaos seemingly results in tragedy, he is forced to make a decision that will change the lives of everyone around him.
One that even has the potential to end his own.

ABOUT ME
I don't remember a time when I wasn't obsessed with stories.
Since I was little, reading and writing is the way I've connected with the world. As it turns out, it's the way I'd like to spend the rest of my life. So I'm currently committed to making that happen.
Right now I'm in the editing process for my debut novel: Icarus, the first book in a fantasy series; I'm also brainstorming enough stories for years to come.
When I'm not writing, I can be found making coffee for people, reorganizing my bookshelves, and dreaming of travel.
